Solar panels generally require very little maintenance since there are no moving parts. A few times a year, the panels should be inspected for any dirt or debris that may collect on them. Always ensure you are safety conscious when inspecting panels, and don’t take any needless risks!

Dust and other substances, such as bird droppings, can build up over time and impact the amount of electricity generated by a module. Grime and bird poop don’t need to cover an entire panel to have an effect. This is where cleaning solar panels may have to be done.
